This versatile quilt is friendly with fat quarters and/or 6" squares. There are foundation piecing diagrams for the square-in-a-square block and quarter square triangles, and traditional cutting methods for fat quarters. Use what you have, or sample new fabric collections! A perfect size for baby gifts or Linus donations.
This was the first Silly Quilt, named for the pairing of whimsical borders and juvenile prints.
Its beauty is the use of fat quarters and scraps available in most stashes. Even the striped setting triangles come from 1 fat quarter, another for the focus print, another for the small triangles.
Straight line quilting or simple meandering works great. Bias binding (1 fat quarter) can be finished by hand or machine. Go curvy with borders for the playful look. Five different border options, including straight and patchwork, are included.
